How to apply for your visa if you have been accepted into a French higher education program?

Since October 1, 2021, Canada has joined the Études en France (EEF) platform. This is a centralised online service for all registration procedures in higher education in France for foreign students.

Opening of the Etudes en France platform in Canada

The Etudes en France platform is entirely paperless and allows you to manage all the steps involved in registering in a higher education institution up to the visa application. Registration is mandatory before applying for a visa. You will have to  create a personal account and follow the instructions.

You will be able to submit your applications, communicate with Campus France office in your Province and contact the institutions in which you wish to register.

A financial contribution of 150CAD is required to benefit from this support service. Please note, however, that the visa fee for countries or territories with an EEF procedure is €50 instead of €99 (amounts given as an indication).

Who is concerned?

All applicants who are not citizens of the European Union and who reside in Canada and wish to study in France for a period of more than 90 days which required a long-stay visa.

The applicant can apply for a visa after completing the electronic file on Etudes en France (EEF). Once the file is validated on EEF, the candidate can start the visa application process on the France Visas website and make an appointment at one of the 4 VFS centers in Canada.
