Working while studying in France

Here are a few rules to know.

Foreign students can work while studying in France if they have the citizenship of a European Union country or a long stay visa / visa long séjour valant titre de séjour (VLS-TS).

French law authorizes foreign students to work 20h per week.

When you work in France, you are guaranteed a minimum wage by law. It is 10,03 € per hour as of January 1st, 2019. This wage is gross; you have to deduct mandatory social charges (about 20%) to find out how much you really earn: €7.61 per hour.
