Canada is part of the 'Études en France' platform. This is a unique online service for all international admissions processes to French post-secondary institutions. The platform opens on October 1st, 2025 for applicants who wish to study in France in the 2026-2027 academic year at different levels of higher education.
Information for the applications for 2026-2027 academic year will be updated soon. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our offices.
Find a study program
To find a study program in France, you can conveniently browse the catalog of bachelor's degrees and master's degrees edited by Campus France. You can use the search engine by subject area, key word or region of France.
Another search engine focuses most specifically on the programs taught in English in French post-secondary institutions: Programs taught in English.
Be careful: please make sure that these programs are connected to the Etudes en France catalog. If you are unable to find the program on Etudes en France, please do some research or contact the institutions to find out more about their application process.
The 'Etudes en France' platform
Start by creating an account on Etudes en France. Select "I am applying".
Applying for the 1st year of university (DAP blanche)
For a first-time registration in the first year of a bachelor's degree (licence) or in the 1st common core year of health studies (PASS) in a French university, a prior admission request (demande d'admission préalable - DAP) is mandatory for foreigners holding a foreign secondary school diploma.
This application procedure is for candidates:
- who do not have French nationality or of a Member State of the European Union, of a State party to the agreement on the European Economic Area or of the Swiss Confederation (if you are in this case, please apply via the Parcoursup platform);
- who are not holders or future holders of the French or European baccalaureate (the European baccalaureate is a diploma awarded by the only approved European schools in the Member States of the European Union) (if you are in this case, please apply via the Parcoursup platform);
- who live abroad (if you reside in France throughout the application and admission procedure, you should follow the green DAP procedure).
Calendar
- Opening of the procedure : October 1st, 2025
- Deadline for submitting files to establishments: December 15th, 2025
- Deadline for establishment educational commissions: April 30th, 2026
- Student decision deadline: May 31st, 2026
How to register?
Register on the Études en France online platform. Under the DAP, you are allowed to apply for 3 bachelor's programs.
Note: You can submit up to 7 training requests in total on the Études en France platform. It will therefore be possible to present other wishes outside of the DAP procedure. For example, you can make 3 wishes in the first year of a Bachelor's degree and 4 other wishes in the first year of IUT.

The training basket
To find out about the Bachelor's degree offer in France, the Campus France website offers a catalog where it is possible to search for training by keyword, by field of study or by region of France: view the online catalog.
Be careful! Some of these training courses are not open on the Etudes en France platform. Check with the establishments to find out their application procedure.
Attention! Some courses ask candidates to complete a parallel application procedure when submitting their application on the Etudes en France platform. Remember to always check the “Training information” section in your basket.
Take a French assessment
French certification is mandatory as part of the DAP application procedure.
Alongside your Study in France application, register for one of the following tests TCF-TP (+ compulsory written expression) or DELF/DALF, necessary for the creation of your application file for French higher education.
Please note: exam registration deadlines may be BEFORE the DAP deadline. Contact your local Alliance Française or Campus France as soon as possible to find out how to register.
