CAMPUS FRANCE LAUNCHES NEW STUDY PROGRAM "French ⨁ Sciences"

Campus France is launching a new program for short study stays in sciences, "French ⨁ Sciences", in partnership with the centers of FLE (French as a foreign language).

HIGHLIGHT FRENCH TECHNOLOGICAL KNOW-HOW

The creation of this program is meant for English-speaking students enrolled in science and technology training programs at university, and who wish to better their French language skills.

The courses offered as part of "French⨁Sciences" aim to promote the French technological know-how and the excellence of the scientific training. They are conducted in English - while including a module of French learning (for all level from beginner to advanced): the objective is to allow students who are not comfortable enough in French to experience a short program in science and gain new technical and language skills in order to perhaps pursue higher studies in France.

INNOVATIVE FIELDS FOR CURRENT CHALLENGES

These short stays of 3 to 4 weeks revolve around a specific theme and internationally recognized companies in the economic area of the FLE partner centers (all referenced "FLE Quality Label"):

  • "About sustainable development" in Montpellier with Accent Français; also in partnership with the University of Montpellier which strengthens its position as world leader in ecology in the Shanghai rankings.
  • "Marine Science and Technology" in Brest with Ciel Bretagne;
  • "Microtechnology and biomedical engineering" with CLA Besançon;
  • "Energy and Transport" in Rouen with French in Normandy.

The last three allow the validation of ECTS credits.

A SIMPLIFIED REGISTRATION PROCESS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

The registrations are done online on the website of the partner FLE centers, that can answer students’ questions directly. Session dates are based on the summer holidays in both hemispheres, so that Canadian students interested in "French ⨁ Sciences" can find a session corresponding to the period of their holidays. As the sessions are held at the beginning of the summer and only last 3 or 4 weeks, it doesn't prevent them from having a summer job after the program.

A TAILOR-MADE INSURANCE

Another innovation introduced in this program is the creation of a specific short-term insurance scheme, developed by Campus France in partnership with MGEL / APRIL International: this insurance covers health, repatriation and public liability costs; when applicable, it allows to obtain a visa. A certificate is available upon payment.

Online subscription to this insurance is available through the following two links (in French and English):
